Young Friends journalist from 2015 to 2016, Zabrina shares her experience of joining the programme’s appreciation guide writing tutorial in her #MyHKAFStory, which inspired her to become an arts journalist today. She fondly recalls one of her favourite performances she witnessed as part of the course—Gala Flamenca—featuring some of the world’s top flamenco dancers at the 43rd Hong Kong Arts Festival in 2015.

“That led me into thinking about my career in the future and that’s how I became an arts journalist today. I also have to thank the HKAF for being there for the support and planting the seed back when I was a university student.”

The Young Friends of the Hong Kong Arts Festival is an integrated arts education and audience development programme designed to nurture young students’ interest in the arts.
