Shelley Lee, a donor of the Hong Kong Arts Festival, has witnessed the growth of the Festival over the past five decades. She has been in close contact with the HKAF since the early 1970s. At the time, Shelley was working as private secretary to Governor Murray MacLehose, when she met Sir Run Run Shaw, who was Chairman of the Festival from 1973 to 1989.

She has consistently attended Festival performances over the last 30 years, one of her favourite companies being the American Ballet Theatre. Shelley shares her special memories about the impact of the arts on Hong Kong people in her #MyHKAFStory.
